Funeral Notice

Mr. Archie Carey Hamilton, 82, of Camp Hill died Friday, February 13, 2026, at Brown Nursing & Rehabilitation, Alexander City. Funeral services were held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Mt. Lovely Baptist Church, Camp Hill at 2:00 p.m. (CST) with Rev. Bernard Harris, officiating.  The interment was in the church cemetery.  
 
Mr. Hamilton is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Matilda Woodyard Hamilton, whom he lovingly called “Sparkle”; one daughter: Michele Hamilton, Baton Rouge, LA; four sons: Archie (Carol) Hamilton, Jr., Dadeville, AL, John Joseph (Keshia) Hamilton, Baton Rouge, LA, Donnie (Maya) Hamilton & Tory Hamilton both of Camp Hill, AL; three sisters: Audrey Hamilton, Mobile, AL, Brenda Royal, Kenner, LA and Joshlyn Griffin, Metairie, LA; four brothers: John A. Hamilton, Jr, Kenner, LA, Nathaniel Hamilton, Metairie, LA, Oscar Hamilton, Metairie, LA and Jessie Hamilton, San Antonio, TX; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
