Mrs. Yvonnie Heard Higgins, 65, of Lanett died Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024, at Vines Funeral Home Chapel, LaFayette at 1:00 p.m. (CST) with Rev. Ed Vines officiating. The remains will lie in state at the Chapel from 12:00 p.m. (CST) until the funeral hour. The interment will be in Pine Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, LaFayette. Public viewing will be Sunday, April 14, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (CST) at Vines Funeral Home.
Mrs. Higgins is survived by her two devoted daughters: Jill Heard (Taye) and Nichole Heard both of Lanett; eight grandchildren: Douglas, Larry, Cedric, Za’Niayah, Nakeriona, Ozaria, Je’Caryous, Ty’Quavian; three sisters: Bernice Marable, Roanoke, Remonia (Vincent) Oliver and Lisa Tinker both of Gadsden; one brother: Carter (Faye) Heard, Jr., Roanoke; three special nieces: Jennifer Slaughter, Roanoke, Pamela Heard, Valley and Burnita Heard, Lanett and a host of cousins and friends.
