Ms. Carolyn Belinda Sistrunk, 63, of Dadeville died Monday April 1, 2024, at Dadeville Healthcare Center, Dadeville. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024, at New Adka Baptist Church, Dadeville at 12:00 p.m. (CST) with Rev. Edward Milner officiating. Interment will be in the Essie J. Handy Memorial Cemetery, LaFayette. The remains will lie in state at the church from 11:00 a.m. (CST) until the funeral hour. Public viewing will be Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (CST) at Vines Funeral Home.
Carolyn was born on June 25, 1960, in Dadeville, AL to the late James & Gracie Lee Sistrunk. She joined the New Adka Baptist Church at an early age and received her early education in the Tallapoosa County school system. She was a 1978 graduate of Edward Bell High School. Carolyn was a loveable and joyous person. She worked for years in the Dadeville hospital as a cook where she put a smile on everyone’s face.
Carolyn is survived by one sister: Pamela (Alfred) Jennings, Dadeville; two brothers-in-law: Roger Vines, LaFayette and Perry Burns, Dadeville; two nieces: India Jennings and Ashleigh Vines both of Auburn; two nephews: Courtney (Yashica) Jennings, Grand Prairie, TX and Keilynn Vines, LaFayette; one aunt: Thelma (Leroy) Vaughn, Struthers, Ohio; a devoted friend: Daisy Shelly, Auburn and a host of cousins and friends.
